Down under, Australia200 slipped 0.26% after China banned imports of Australian coal.
USD/JPY closed 0.40% lower at 103.61.
Brent oil added 0.82% to trade at $50.70 a barrel.
EUR/USD traded at 1.2160 after it gained 0.14%.
